本課程是一門運用生理學、生物化學、微生物學、免疫學等基礎學科的相關知識解釋疾病發生機制，研究疾病發生和發展的基礎醫學學科，可作為溝通基礎醫學與臨床醫學的橋梁。學生修完本課程，對於人體各大系統之生理功能及其相關性的病理機轉將有完整的認識，進而能將這些知識應用於臨床護理問題之探討。

　　This course is a basic medical discipline which using the knowledge of physiology, biochemistry, microbiology and immunology to explain the mechanisms of diseases and study the occurrence and development of diseases. This course can be used as a bridge between basic sciences and clinical medicine. Students must categorize these knowledge, integrative with explain the connection of the physiological function and disease mechanisms of each organ of human body system. At the end of the course, the students are expected to be equipped with adequate understanding of principles of physiology, and able to apply the knowledge at solving the clinical nursing problem.
