課程採用全英語授課方式，帶領學生搜尋相關領域的國際學術會議、會議投稿時相關規則、海報形式發表指引、口頭發表指引、常用的會議句型、會議報告之情境演練，期能降低護理研究所學生對英文演說之恐懼、引發其參與國際學術會議之興趣，並能利用有效的英文溝通互動表達醫護專業知識，目的在於擴展國際視野及持續自我學習與成長。
This English-taught course will guide students in the process of writing abstracts and preparing presentations for international academic conferences. Students will complete several tasks along the way, such as selecting disciplinespecific conferences, reading and understanding conference instructions and requirements, reviewing common sentence structures found in academic discourse as well as developing strategies for giving oral presentations. After taking this course, it is also expected that graduate nursing students should be able to reduce stage fright when speaking in public, to share their professional expertise comfortably and easily, and to become more interested in attending conferences for lifelong learning opportunities and international perspectives on current issues in the field of nursing.
