本課程旨在探究量性研究的種類，測量工具信效度，樣本數之估計，縱貫性研究設計，及實驗性研究設計，以提升學生之批判性思考及量性研究計畫執行的能力，進而能應用於臨床照護和未來研究。
The purposes of this course design to teach nursing students to understand the different research design, reliability and validity of instruments, sample size calculation, longitudinal research design, and experimental research design. Through this course, students can enhance critical thinking, quantitative research practice, and develop the ability for future clinical care and independent study.
