本課程目的在於培養學生發展進階專業社區衛生護理的能力，特別是有關社區健康評估、社區診斷、社區健康議題以及以及社區資源的利用性等能力。學生利用系統性觀點結合相關理論作為社區健康評估的基礎。本課程連結流行病學、進階生物統計學以及護理理論的概念及理論。實證基礎的知識、理論和研究則是強調初級健康照護應用的基礎上。

This course is designed to develop advanced professional community health nursing competencies with community health assessment (aggregate/group), diagnosis of community health issues, and utilization of community resources. Students are assisted to utilize a system perspective incorporating relevant theories as a conceptual basis for community health assessment. This course connects the concepts and theories from epidemiology, advanced biostatistics, nursing theory. Evidence-based of substantive knowledge, theory and research are emphasized as the basis for primary health care application.
