本課程為整合性課程，建構在護理系大學部藥理學的知能之上。主要是建構學生對於健康促進和疾病治療相關的藥物治療知能，包括藥物動力學、藥物的選擇、病人對於藥物的反應和副作用的監測、療程修正、藥物交互作用、以及醫療和護理的處方等。最後，討論專科護理師和藥物治療之間的關係，以及針對特殊族群如孕婦，老人及小孩的狀况作一般用藥考量。
This is an integrated course. The course builds on the pharmacology knowledge base acquired in the baccalaureate nursing program. It focuses on use of pharmacotherapeutics in health promotion and the treatment of disease. The interrelationships of nursing and drug therapy will be explored through study of pharmacodynamics, dynamics of patient response to medical and nursing therapeutic regimens, and patient teaching as well as the psychosocial, economic, cultural, ethical, and legal factors affecting drug therapy, patient responses, and nursing practice.
